The Ninjas in Pyjamas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aron Neculce should have stopped the shot. Victor Müller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 22 minutes into the game, Uriel Segio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Noqueces FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ninjas in Pyjamas the free kick. In the 22nd minute, Uriel Segio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Venancio Lain took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iván Zamorano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the game, Horea Zâncă was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ninjas in Pyjamas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Noqueces FC the free kick. Horea Zâncă hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurelian Zogreanu in the 29th minute of play forced Noqueces FC's goalkeeper Venancio Lain to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute, Rolando Palban hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd minute, Aurelian Zogreanu made a precise shot to the right of Venancio Lain. Noqueces FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Ambrosio Guillem recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Venancio Lain didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Iván Zamorano went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Iván Zamorano charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Iván Zamorano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Venancio Lain showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iván Zamorano, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aurelian Zogreanu to make the kick off. Venancio Lain made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Aurelian Zogreanu sent off a good shot on target. 57 minutes into the game, Ninjas in Pyjamas's Iván Zamorano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Venancio Lain made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. In the 63rd minute, Ambrosio Guillem got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 67th minute, Iván Zamorano reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Venancio Lain. The goal made the score 1-4. Venancio Lain made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aurelian Zogreanu in the 74th minute. Ninjas in Pyjamas's Sorin Tăgorean was substituted for Cornel Surdilă. In the 81st match minute, Ninjas in Pyjamas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pavel Teaşcă to maneuver through the defense. When Aurelian Zogreanu fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ninjas in Pyjamas's protests and gave Aurelian Zogreanu a yellow card for diving instead. Aurelian Zogreanu hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Rolando Palban hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Venancio Lain was out of position in the 90 minute of play, and Iván Zamorano capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Iván Zamorano really showed his touch with that goal: 1-6. When Ionuț Măcriș fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ninjas in Pyjamas's protests and gave Ionuț Măcriș a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Noqueces FC booed when Ninjas in Pyjamas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ionuț Măcriș didn't get a good kick on the ball. Petre Izbașa charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Petre Izbașa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 95 played minutes Ninjas in Pyjamas got a freekick which was hit by Petre Izbașa.
