Hubert Donnet came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Anversa Club's Reinaert Vlimmens. But to his dismay, Reinaert Vlimmens quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Anversa Club's Loid Wolfdoncx played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Louison Levet in the 46th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rene Van den Gans to make the kick off. Hubert Donnet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reinaert Vlimmens in the 54th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Reinaert Van den Inde during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 62nd match minute, Anversa Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reinaert Van den Inde to maneuver through the defense.
