Benicio Ulizes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauricio Mojon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ruben Bernat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Loja S.C. getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Gonzales Ordoñez hit a great ball. Rodriguez Cean's late challenge caught a Guanacos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rodriguez Cean helped the player get up and apologised. Rodriguez Cean kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Loja S.C.'s zone, Evelio Havier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chucho Muñoa came out of the goal and Evelio Havier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Guanacos's Eliseo Perico got a free kick in the 75th minute. Chucho Muñoa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo Perico in the 78th minute of the match. Chucho Muñoa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Evelio Havier's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. After a rather tough play, Guanacos's Teobaldo Aimar got a free kick in the 87th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Evelio Havier got free with Chucho Muñoa in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 94 played minutes Guanacos got a freekick which was hit by Teobaldo Aimar. If Rodas Lamadrid had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Guanacos players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
