The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 minutes, Edgard Emeterio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Utopía Muerta FC and the Cavaliers FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Placido Abaunza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Federico Goizeder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Federico Goizeder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cayetano Tiniebra in the 7th minute of play. Federico Goizeder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgard Emeterio in the 9th minute of the match. In the 10th minute, Ariel Pero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Federico Goizeder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cayetano Tiniebra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ariel Pero's late challenge caught a Utopía Muerta FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ariel Pero helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Cavaliers FC's Ariel Pero got a free kick in the 13th minute. After some careless play in the Cavaliers FC defense, Cayetano Tiniebra kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Federico Goizeder. The Cavaliers FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Federico Goizeder should have stopped the shot. If Cayetano Tiniebra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Bieito charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pedro Bieito the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Salvador Guillelmus came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Utopía Muerta FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Salvador Guillelmus couldn't finish the play. 33 minutes into the match, Placido Abaunza notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Cavaliers FC's Federico Goizeder. Federico Goizeder was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 39th match minute, Cavaliers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augusto Firmo to maneuver through the defense. In the 40th minute of the match Samuel Orlanda sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Federico Goizeder skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cayetano Tiniebra in the 43rd minute of play forced Cavaliers FC's goalkeeper Federico Goizeder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The wind increased when Placido Abaunza made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Cavaliers FC booed when Utopía Muerta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgard Emeterio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cavaliers FC were furious when Rodolfo Gaur was red carded, 54 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cavaliers FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 54th minute. Penalty! Utopía Muerta FC's Teo Librado was substituted for Aurelio Chico. After 61 played minutes Cavaliers FC got a freekick which was hit by Romeo Barto. The audience thought a goal was coming when Placido Abaunza got free with Federico Goizeder in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cavaliers FC made a substitution. Uriel Efraim replaced Angelo Markel. Cavaliers FC made a substitution. Vinicio Mendebal replaced Romeo Barto. A collision led to Cavaliers FC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Augusto Firmo hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Utopía Muerta FC's Teodoro Guerau tried to score from far away in the 77th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Placido Abaunza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Utopía Muerta FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Placido Abaunza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Federico Goizeder breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Utopía Muerta FC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Samuel Orlanda hit a great ball.
