Bret Fry hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Washington Diniz's late challenge caught a Marshrose's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Washington Diniz helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, SANTOS FC- FDFDF's Washington Diniz got a free kick in the 12th minute. Frances Tisserand could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Walmir Ferreira made a huge save. SANTOS FC- FDFDF's Walmir Ferreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antony Sutherland in the 15th minute of play. 2-0 became the score in the 21st minute when Frances Tisserand elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 25th minute, Washington Diniz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 31 minutes into the match, Nuno Moreno had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Santiago Hatch. Marshrose's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nuno Moreno was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Frances Tisserand could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Walmir Ferreira made a huge save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nuno Moreno was the one to do the kick off. Walmir Ferreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jame Gilliam, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Frances Tisserand fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walmir Ferreira having to interfere. 56 minutes into the match, Jame Gilliam had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Walmir Ferreira. SANTOS FC- FDFDF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jame Gilliam was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. 63 minutes into the match, SANTOS FC- FDFDF's goal looked a bit too open when Jame Gilliam came free, but Walmir Ferreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute, Frances Tisserand left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Marshrose fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. In the 72nd minute Jame Gilliam shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walmir Ferreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernardo Galvão made in the 75th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Marshrose's Antony Sutherland. Walmir Ferreira came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Marshrose's Jame Gilliam. But to his dismay, Jame Gilliam quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. After 88 played minutes Marshrose got a freekick which was hit by Antony Sutherland. In the 90thth minute of the game Nuno Moreno who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marshrose's Santiago Hatch was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of SANTOS FC- FDFDF booed when Marshrose was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bret Fry didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 95 minutes, Zé Roberto Bittencourt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SANTOS FC- FDFDF and the Marshrose players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 95 played minutes SANTOS FC- FDFDF got a freekick which was hit by Zé Roberto Bittencourt. Marshrose's Frances Tisserand got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marshrose walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
