Nunes FC's Aloísio Magalhães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erubiel Tello in the 40th minute of play. In the 41st minute Laureano Jenaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aloísio Magalhães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 46 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Lino Quintan sped through Nunes FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Aloísio Magalhães. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Perivaldo Proença to make the kick off. Andrézinho de Lima kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. When Jorge Osoitz fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deportivo David Mardel's protests and gave Jorge Osoitz a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Nunes FC booed when Deportivo David Mardel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Osoitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 58th minute, Lino Quintan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aloísio Magalhães was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Aloísio Magalhães stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ovidio Constancio's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Aloísio Magalhães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lino Quintan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nilton Silva kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Aloísio Magalhães made an important save on a dangerous shot by Laureano Jenaro in the 71st minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Deportivo David Mardel's Lino Quintan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Aloísio Magalhães. That made the score 0-5 after 72 minutes of play. Ovidio Constancio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Aloísio Magalhães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 96 minutes into the match, Nunes FC's goalkeeper Aloísio Magalhães had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lino Quintan. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Deportivo David Mardel walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
