After 5 played minutes, Astillero del Guayas's Corozo Nevares shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Kaan Dovina came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Astillero del Guayas reached it. Kaan Dovina took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zaquiel Boñar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kaan Dovina showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zaquiel Boñar in the 11th minute of the match. Zaquiel Boñar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Kaan Dovina tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 17 minutes into the game, Jan-Åke Sillén was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bajenland's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Astillero del Guayas the free kick. The supporters of Astillero del Guayas booed when Bajenland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan-Åke Sillén didn't get a good kick on the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Bajenland's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Rioboo came free, but Kaan Dovina reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 18 minutes of play, Astillero del Guayas's Alfredo Rioboo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kaan Dovina came out of the goal and Zaquiel Boñar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kaan Dovina showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zaquiel Boñar, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Astillero del Guayas's goal looked a bit too open when Lars Telin came free, but Vinicio Collado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Bajenland's zone, Zaquiel Boñar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kaan Dovina came out of the goal and Zaquiel Boñar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Astillero del Guayas getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Corozo Nevares hit a great ball. 35 minutes into the match, Astillero del Guayas's goalkeeper Vinicio Collado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ove Wennerström. Efrain Meruelo hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. 40 minutes into the match, Bajenland's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Rioboo came free, but Kaan Dovina reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vinicio Collado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lars Telin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Zaquiel Boñar fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Astillero del Guayas's protests and gave Zaquiel Boñar a yellow card for diving instead. Zaquiel Boñar hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. A collision led to Astillero del Guayas getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Efrain Meruelo hit a great ball. After 47 minutes of play Astillero del Guayas's Alfredo Rioboo was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 48th minute, Alfredo Rioboo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The wind increased when Zaquiel Boñar made the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Astillero del Guayas got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Lomeli. Vinicio Collado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lars Telin, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zaquiel Boñar got free with Kaan Dovina in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 63rd minute Corozo Nevares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kaan Dovina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Astillero del Guayas's Vinicio Collado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lars Telin in the 64th minute of play. Vinicio Collado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ove Wennerström in the 72nd minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, Astillero del Guayas's goal looked a bit too open when Ove Wennerström came free, but Vinicio Collado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Bajenland fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1.
