When Equipo's Higinio Beltza in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bacardi FC's goalie prevented a goal. Armando Florin hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Bacardi FC's Henk De Greef couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 19th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Equipo. When Amadeo Iratze came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Equipo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amadeo Iratze couldn't finish the play. Oliver Pluijssens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Higinio Beltza in the 27th minute of play. The supporters of Bacardi FC booed when Equipo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melchor Igon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lou Haesevoets scored 1-2 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Raul Frantzes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Equipo were awarded a corner in the 41th minute after Bacardi FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Amadeo Iratze took the corner. Equipo's Amadeo Iratze was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Oliver Pluijssens in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 44th minute, Equipo's Higinio Beltza ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Oliver Pluijssens. Oliver Pluijssens yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. When Melchor Igon fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Equipo's protests and gave Melchor Igon a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Equipo getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Melchor Igon hit a great ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Raymond Verheije stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Melchor Igon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oliver Pluijssens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Enzo Denys fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raul Frantzes having to interfere. In the 57th match minute, Bacardi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michael Omblets to maneuver through the defense. 58 minutes into the game, Equipo's Higinio Beltza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Oliver Pluijssens made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. Bacardi FC's Oliver Pluijssens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Higinio Beltza in the 61st minute of play. Diederick Meulders's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Raul Frantzes firmly grabbed it by the left post. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Higinio Beltza put it in 4-2 from a short distance just to the right of Oliver Pluijssens. Equipo's Raul Frantzes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Equipo from getting a goal against them. Oliver Pluijssens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Higinio Beltza, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Higinio Beltza managed to get in a good position for a shot. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Bacardi FC's zone, Higinio Beltza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oliver Pluijssens came out of the goal and Higinio Beltza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. During the 83rd minute of the match Melchor Igon completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Melchor Igon a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Melchor Igon hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Oliver Pluijssens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Higinio Beltza in the 86th minute of play. When the match clock showed 92 minutes, the score became 6-2 when Higinio Beltza sped through Bacardi FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Oliver Pluijssens. Equipo's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
