Ronny Hilger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frances Gacitúa, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Luis María Camacho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronny Hilger having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, Delay Sports's goal looked a bit too open when Frances Gacitúa came free, but Ronny Hilger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute, Delay Sports's Max Kammer dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Ronny Hilger didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Frances Gacitúa went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Delay Sports defense, Frances Gacitúa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ronny Hilger. The Delay Sports fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ronny Hilger should have stopped the shot. When Ferrán Alcedo fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CSD Concepción's protests and gave Ferrán Alcedo a yellow card for diving instead. After 43 played minutes CSD Concepción got a freekick which was hit by Ferrán Alcedo. The Delay Sports players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. CSD Concepción were winning 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arik Bellmann was the one to do the kick off. 50 minutes into the match, CSD Concepción's goal looked a bit too open when Reinhold Kastner came free, but Celedonio Latapiat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Bayron Landaeta kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ronny Hilger. That made the score 1-4 in the 53 minute of play. If Max Kammer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 58 played minutes CSD Concepción got a freekick which was hit by Santiago Macuer. In the 63rd minute, Santiago Macuer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ronny Hilger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricard Semir, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joseph Hackner's late challenge caught a CSD Concepción's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joseph Hackner helped the player get up and apologised. Joseph Hackner hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. In the 72nd minute of the match Niceto Serrano sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ronny Hilger skillfully saved the ball. CSD Concepción's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
