After 3 played minutes Clube do Remo MZ got a freekick which was hit by Walmyr Dionísio. Walmyr Dionísio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 5th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Francisco Florian. San Pablo FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 6th minute Edinho Vasconcelos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Florian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the San Pablo FC defense, Hélder Mangueira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Francisco Florian. The San Pablo FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Francisco Florian should have stopped the shot. In the 19th minute Ismael Mandrak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Florian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 19 played minutes San Pablo FC got a freekick which was hit by Anier Izotz. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Edinho Vasconcelos put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Francisco Florian. Cleto Bingen hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Ricardinho Simão kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardinho Simão in the 33rd minute of play forced San Pablo FC's goalkeeper Francisco Florian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Edinho Vasconcelos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Francisco Florian. San Pablo FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edinho Vasconcelos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Ismael Mandrak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Edinho Vasconcelos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Florian having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in San Pablo FC's zone, Ismael Mandrak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Francisco Florian came out of the goal and Ismael Mandrak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 47th minute, Anier Izotz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Isidoro Gaueko to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute of the match Walmyr Dionísio shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Francisco Florian showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Isidoro Gaueko in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Frederico Smith prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 65 played minutes Edinho Vasconcelos rounded San Pablo FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-4. With a little luck, San Pablo FC's Francisco Florian got control of the ball when Ismael Mandrak tried to sneak it across the goal line. San Pablo FC's Francisco Florian proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save San Pablo FC from getting a goal against them. After 77 played minutes, San Pablo FC's Anier Izotz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Frederico Smith came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in San Pablo FC reached it. Ismael Mandrak's late challenge caught a San Pablo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ismael Mandrak helped the player get up and apologised. After 79 played minutes Clube do Remo MZ got a freekick which was hit by Ismael Mandrak. In the 84th minute, San Pablo FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Edinho Vasconcelos fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. San Pablo FC's Francisco Florian proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save San Pablo FC from getting a goal against them. After 87 minutes of play, Clube do Remo MZ's Ismael Mandrak made it 1-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Francisco Florian was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edinho Vasconcelos in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Francisco Florian saved San Pablo FC from getting behind. Victoriano Feo charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Victoriano Feo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Clube do Remo MZ booed when San Pablo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victoriano Feo didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ismael Mandrak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Clube do Remo MZ's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
