The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Victoriano Licerio during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Segundo Maule acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 3rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Modesto Macario. PauoL & The Queen's Justino Telesforo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Siro Argenis in the 6th minute of play. In the 7th minute Siro Argenis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Justino Telesforo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes into the game, Lázaro Errando was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sportivo Constitución's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PauoL & The Queen the free kick. In the 16th minute, Lázaro Errando hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Modesto Macario in the 16th minute really tested Segundo Maule's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Justino Telesforo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustin Sotil in the 22nd minute of play. After 26 played minutes PauoL & The Queen got a freekick which was hit by Fabian Guillelme. 27 minutes into the match, PauoL & The Queen's goal looked a bit too open when Siro Argenis came free, but Justino Telesforo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, PauoL & The Queen's Fabian Guillelme got a free kick in the 31st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Siro Argenis in the 42nd minute of play forced PauoL & The Queen's goalkeeper Justino Telesforo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Sportivo Constitución's Siro Argenis got a free kick in the 44th minute. Siro Argenis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabricio Chesus in the 52nd minute of play forced Sportivo Constitución's goalkeeper Segundo Maule to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 55th minute, Ivan Hunfredo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The PauoL & The Queen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Amancio Ralondo managed to get in a good position for a shot. PauoL & The Queen's supporters rose to their feet, but Amancio Ralondo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Segundo Maule breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. During the 62nd minute of the match Lázaro Errando completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Lázaro Errando a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Segundo Maule was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Justino Telesforo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Romeo Telo's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Fabricio Chesus managed to get in a good position for a shot. PauoL & The Queen's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabricio Chesus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Segundo Maule breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 86th minute, Ivan Hunfredo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Segundo Maule made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabricio Chesus in the 88th minute of play. In the 92nd match minute, Sportivo Constitución was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leon Barbosa to maneuver through the defense. Sportivo Constitución's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
