After 14 minutes, Osvaldo Misael mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the NECKER49 and the Lapachito players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 14th minute, Osvaldo Misael hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cayetano Paz was out of position in the 15 minute of play, and Lucas Paio capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lucas Paio really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Ciro Aimar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 20 minutes of play, NECKER49's Felix Santos made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ciro Aimar was left in no man's land by his defense there! Siro Tauro might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ciro Aimar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Siro Tauro ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 26th minute, Felix Santos made a precise shot to the right of Ciro Aimar. Lapachito's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Siro Tauro in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ciro Aimar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Siro Tauro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ciro Aimar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Alvaro Godoy kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Genaro Aimar took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 39th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cayetano Paz. NECKER49's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 40 minutes into the game, NECKER49's Alvaro Godoy nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ciro Aimar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Teo Leheren charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Teo Leheren the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 47 played minutes Lapachito got a freekick which was hit by Teo Leheren. Ciro Aimar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Santos in the 48th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fabricio Montrel to make the kick off. Dionisio Leizarraga hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Lapachito's Baltasar Corderall got a free kick in the 68th minute. Lapachito's Ciro Aimar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Santos in the 69th minute of play. Ciro Aimar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for NECKER49. NECKER49's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
