When Ibirama Futebol Clube's Luisão Sabóia in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cleytec de Nilópolis RJ's goalie prevented a goal. In the 11thth minute of the game Luisão Sabóia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cleytec de Nilópolis RJ's Nelson Rocha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luís Eduardo Amorim kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Ibirama Futebol Clube's Agnaldo Nunes got a free kick in the 15th minute. Conrado Linares made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Samuca Fernandes sent off a good shot on target. Nelson Rocha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Vítor de Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nelson Rocha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Vítor de Azevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Luisão Sabóia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Samuca Fernandes got free with Conrado Linares in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Samuca Fernandes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Conrado Linares having to interfere. Nelson Rocha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Vítor de Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Conrado Linares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hélder de Barros in the 45th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Samuca Fernandes to make the kick off. When Richard do Vale fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cleytec de Nilópolis RJ's protests and gave Richard do Vale a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Cleytec de Nilópolis RJ getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Richard do Vale hit a great ball. Ibirama Futebol Clube's Marcinho Dionísio couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 54th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Cleytec de Nilópolis RJ. Nelson Rocha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Vítor de Azevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. If Luisão Sabóia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Cleytec de Nilópolis RJ's zone, Luisão Sabóia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nelson Rocha came out of the goal and Luisão Sabóia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Samuca Fernandes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Conrado Linares having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hélder de Barros in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Conrado Linares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 68 minutes into the game, Ibirama Futebol Clube's Luisão Sabóia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nelson Rocha made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 72nd minute José Vítor de Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nelson Rocha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Conrado Linares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuca Fernandes, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. A collision led to Cleytec de Nilópolis RJ getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Sebastião Koehler hit a great ball. Luisão Sabóia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nelson Rocha having to make a save. A collision led to Ibirama Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. José Vítor de Azevedo hit a great ball. With his leg Nelson Rocha managed to avoid a goal in the 87thth minute, when Ibirama Futebol Clube's Luisão Sabóia fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Luisão Sabóia who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 92ndth minute tested the skills of Nelson Rocha when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a little luck, Cleytec de Nilópolis RJ's Nelson Rocha got control of the ball when Luisão Sabóia tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luisão Sabóia in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nelson Rocha saved Cleytec de Nilópolis RJ from getting behind. The Cleytec de Nilópolis RJ fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ibirama Futebol Clube were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
