Cleytec de Nilópolis RJ's Hélder de Barros got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 18th match minute, Cleytec de Nilópolis RJ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richard do Vale to maneuver through the defense. Kermit Morris fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nelson Rocha having to interfere. In the 20th match minute, Cleytec de Nilópolis RJ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastião Koehler to maneuver through the defense. Kermit Morris's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nelson Rocha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. After taking down the ball on Flames FC's corner Valère Flowers fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Nelson Rocha quite easily take care of the ball. A collision led to Flames FC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Ellsworth Erwin hit a great ball. In the 33rd minute, Tiaguinho Hermes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nelson Rocha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kermit Morris, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Orval Crow in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nelson Rocha saved Cleytec de Nilópolis RJ from getting behind. A hard shot 40 in the game by Orval Crow from a close distance when the talented Nelson Rocha managed to make a qualified save. Cleytec de Nilópolis RJ's players were relieved. Samuca Fernandes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Orval Crow to make the kick off. Cleytec de Nilópolis RJ's Nelson Rocha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orval Crow in the 52nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Orval Crow in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nelson Rocha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Donald Kearns charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Donald Kearns the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Donald Kearns kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Pedrinho Pirani lost his temper 58 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Flames FC's Matt Stokes was substituted for Kermit Morris. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 57th minute of the game. One of Cleytec de Nilópolis RJ:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Flames FC:s goal. In the 61st minute there was a penalty for Flames FC. Valère Flowers stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Nelson Rocha. 2-1. After 66 played minutes Flames FC got a freekick which was hit by Orval Crow. Orval Crow took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nelson Rocha. Nelson Rocha dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. With an all-out effort, Cleytec de Nilópolis RJ's Jerrod Staples threw himself towards the right post 74 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Hélder de Barros, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Chase Hale during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cleytec de Nilópolis RJ's Richard do Vale pulled a muscle in his back after 92 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Donald Kearns hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. In the 95th minute, Hélder de Barros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
