Antonio Grossman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flórián Novák, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Jagiellonia Denver booed when Keszi Athletic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Attila Károlyi didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Danial Edmondson from long distance, 12 minutes into the match, got Krisztián Erdei's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. When Jerry Lazure fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jagiellonia Denver's protests and gave Jerry Lazure a yellow card for diving instead. Jerry Lazure kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Antonio Grossman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flórián Novák in the 18th minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Lajos Puja had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Antonio Grossman. Jagiellonia Denver's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lajos Puja was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 27th minute Lajos Puja shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Grossman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Keszi Athletic's Krisztián Erdei got control of the ball when Gilbert Pena tried to sneak it across the goal line. Flórián Novák struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Antonio Grossman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Keszi Athletic. Lajos Puja fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonio Grossman having to interfere. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Micah LeBatelier made a kick off. Krisztián Dénes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Lajos Puja had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lajos Puja sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Jagiellonia Denver's Antonio Grossman got control of the ball when Krisztián Dénes tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Jagiellonia Denver getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Hoyt Dove hit a great ball. 63 minutes into the game, Hoyt Dove was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jagiellonia Denver's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Keszi Athletic the free kick.
