In the 2nd match minute, Nacional de Rolândia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mauro Ramos to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Nacional de Rolândia defense, Cesar Weterio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vivaldo Recife. The Nacional de Rolândia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vivaldo Recife should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling José Augusto Meirelles in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Osmar Soeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nacional de Rolândia's supporters rose to their feet, but Osmar Soeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Moises Cresencio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vivaldo Recife made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Mariano Orland sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that José Augusto Meirelles's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Moises Cresencio was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Osmar Soeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Moises Cresencio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 37 played minutes, Tigres Ñacuñán FC's Serafin Senio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Vivaldo Recife came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tigres Ñacuñán FC reached it. Vladimir de Souza kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Armando Iigo, 39 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 42nd minute Osmar Soeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Moises Cresencio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Augusto Meirelles in the 43rd minute of play forced Tigres Ñacuñán FC's goalkeeper Moises Cresencio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Teofilo Virila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vivaldo Recife having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Tigres Ñacuñán FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Nacional de Rolândia had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
