Egg Chasers FC's Bradley Longstaffe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Mendonça in the 9th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ricki Gervais in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Francisco Vilela prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bradley Longstaffe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermano Gaspar in the 14th minute of play. In the 15th minute AM United were awarded a corner. Albertino Cordeiro went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 17th match minute, AM United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexandre Soares to maneuver through the defense. Albertino Cordeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Francisco Vilela made an important save on a dangerous shot by Danny Booth in the 25th minute. 30 minutes into the match, Billie Curtis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Francisco Vilela. AM United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Billie Curtis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After having played for 52 minutes, Billie Curtis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Egg Chasers FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Billie Curtis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Ricki Gervais's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Francisco Vilela was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Patrick Toovey's late challenge caught a AM United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Egg Chasers FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
