Umberto França was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Beto Mandrak took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Umberto França. Umberto França dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Beto Mandrak struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Umberto França didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for America Futebol Clube SP. Nilton Sanches scored 0-3 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Umberto França, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Umberto França didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hélder Almeida went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. In the 27th minute, Reginaldo Novaes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Umberto França took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Beto Mandrak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Umberto França showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nilton Sanches in the 43rd minute of the match. 46 minutes into the game, America Futebol Clube SP's Beto Mandrak nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Umberto França made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nilton Sanches to strike the kick off in the second half. Hélder Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Umberto França tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Umberto França came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by America Futebol Clube SP's Nilton Sanches. But to his dismay, Nilton Sanches quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. Umberto França showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beto Mandrak, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. 63 minutes into the match, Nilton Sanches had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Umberto França. Caskinha Esporte Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nilton Sanches was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-8. Caskinha Esporte Clube's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Cido Sousa 66 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-9. 72 minutes into the game, America Futebol Clube SP's Nilton Sanches nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. With a little luck, Caskinha Esporte Clube's Umberto França got control of the ball when Beto Mandrak tried to sneak it across the goal line. Beto Mandrak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Beto Mandrak who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 89thth minute tested the skills of Umberto França when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Umberto França showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beto Mandrak in the 90th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Caskinha Esporte Clube defense, Beto Mandrak kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Umberto França. The Caskinha Esporte Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Umberto França should have stopped the shot.
