Gică Panaiteanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kurt Ståhlberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. After some careless play in the Raureni Academy defense, Thomas Åman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gică Panaiteanu. The Raureni Academy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gică Panaiteanu should have stopped the shot. Thomas Åman scored 0-2 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gică Panaiteanu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 12th minute, Thomas Åman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thomas Åman might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gică Panaiteanu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Thomas Åman ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexander Skytt in the 16th minute of play forced Raureni Academy's goalkeeper Gică Panaiteanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gică Panaiteanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thomas Åman in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd minute Kurt Ståhlberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gică Panaiteanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adrian Timaru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anders Bergman having to interfere. In the 27th minute, Oskar Biörling sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Raureni Academy's Gică Panaiteanu didn't even have to move. After 28 played minutes Raureni Academy got a freekick which was hit by Ilie Plop. Thomas Åman scored 0-3 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gică Panaiteanu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Anders Bergman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrian Timaru in the 35th minute of the match. After 44 minutes of play, Team Rocco's Thomas Åman made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gică Panaiteanu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Thomas Åman made a kick off. Raureni Academy's Gică Panaiteanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomas Åman in the 51st minute of play. Alex Rizescu kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Team Rocco's Thomas Åman slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gică Panaiteanu. That made the score 0-6 after 53 minutes of play. 57 minutes into the match, Raureni Academy's goalkeeper Gică Panaiteanu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Christian Palm. Gică Panaiteanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kurt Ståhlberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Gică Panaiteanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kurt Ståhlberg in the 60th minute of the match. Kurt Ståhlberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Gică Panaiteanu made a huge save. When Adrian Timaru came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Raureni Academy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adrian Timaru couldn't finish the play. 68 minutes in the game, Thomas Åman fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Gică Panaiteanu having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thomas Åman in the 71st minute of play forced Raureni Academy's goalkeeper Gică Panaiteanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raureni Academy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Team Rocco the free kick. The supporters of Team Rocco booed when Raureni Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marin Puric didn't get a good kick on the ball. 86 minutes into the match, Raureni Academy's goalkeeper Gică Panaiteanu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Christian Palm. Through an outstanding action, after 89 minutes, Gică Panaiteanu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 89 played minutes Raureni Academy got a freekick which was hit by Ilie Plop. Gică Panaiteanu didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 90th minute, which inside left pole to 0-8. Gică Panaiteanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kurt Ståhlberg in the 94th minute of play. Team Rocco played a much better game than Raureni Academy and deserved their victory. The Raureni Academy players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
