When the match clock showed 59 minutes, the score became 1-4 when Isac Prestes sped through Pepsi FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rune Lundin. If Osvaldo Lucena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rune Lundin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isac Prestes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Isac Prestes might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rune Lundin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Isac Prestes ran back to his position shaking his head. Rune Lundin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Isac Prestes's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. The goalkeeper, Rune Lundin, was totally fooled by Terceirense F.C.'s Flávio Sacramento, who 82 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Pepsi FC's Rune Lundin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Egídio Bacelar in the 89th minute of play. After some careless play in the Pepsi FC defense, Osvaldo Lucena kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rune Lundin. The Pepsi FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rune Lundin should have stopped the shot. In the 97th minute of the match, Baltasar Saraiva tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rune Lundin saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 98th minute, Baltasar Saraiva reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rune Lundin. The goal made the score 1-8. Terceirense F.C.'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
