Ricardo Ferreira started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Calopsita EC's Nuno Carioca got a free kick in the 6th minute. C.'s Luís Paulo Velloso pulled a muscle in his back after 18 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Celso Viana's late challenge caught a Mexilhão F. C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Celso Viana helped the player get up and apologised. Mexilhão F. C.'s Nico Pinheiro was substituted for Luís Paulo Velloso. Vitório de Salles stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ricardo Ferreira's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Nuno Carioca kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. 28 minutes into the game, one of Calopsita EC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Mexilhão F. C. a penalty, 30 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Conrado Macedo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Calopsita EC's Moisés Bueno. 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dráuzio Veloso during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Moisés Bueno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Conrado Macedo in the 35th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Calopsita EC's Dráuzio Veloso got a free kick in the 39th minute.

53 minutes into the match, Mexilhão F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Ferreira came free, but Vitório de Salles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfredo Netto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Moisés Bueno was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alfredo Netto showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 57 minute of play. A collision led to Calopsita EC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Celsinho Nogueira hit a great ball. In the 77th minute, Alfredo Netto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Moisés Bueno was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. After 84 played minutes Calopsita EC got a freekick which was hit by Charles de Lima. If Manoel Pitta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle sounded Mexilhão F. C. left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Calopsita EC.
