The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Costel Eta took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro de Mendonça. Pedro de Mendonça dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. The supporters of SC Bertioga booed when Gladiadores was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domingo Goi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, SC Bertioga's Wilson Favoretto got a free kick in the 16th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Domingo Goi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro de Mendonça. SC Bertioga's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Domingo Goi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Pedro de Mendonça made an important save on a dangerous shot by Costel Eta in the 20th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eugenio Gines in the 21st managed to get into a good position. Pedro de Mendonça made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matan Brito in the 35th minute of play. In the 36th minute, Gladiadores's Eugenio Gines dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Eugenio Gines took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Pedro de Mendonça to make any attempt to save it. Siro Theobald sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, SC Bertioga's Anderson Leal got a free kick in the 47th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Pedro de Mendonça took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Costel Eta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedro de Mendonça came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Gladiadores's Eugenio Gines. But to his dismay, Eugenio Gines quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Gladiadores's Eugenio Gines got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugenio Gines in the 74th minute of play forced SC Bertioga's goalkeeper Pedro de Mendonça to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Costel Eta scored 6-1 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro de Mendonça, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Matan Brito kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. A collision led to Gladiadores getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Matan Brito hit a great ball. Pedro de Mendonça showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domingo Goi, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. In the 91st minute Matan Brito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro de Mendonça saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eugenio Gines scored 7-1 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro de Mendonça, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. SC Bertioga's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
