Octavio Ferrer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pascual Gonsalvo, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Octavio Ferrer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Balendin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th minute, Guaberto Koldobika hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Through an outstanding action, after 21 minutes, Octavio Ferrer successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Mariano Caton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Sustrai in the 23rd minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Tello AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Orlando Sustrai came free, but Mariano Caton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute Hipolito Froila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mariano Caton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Orlando Sustrai ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mariano Caton was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Pascual Gonsalvo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavio Ferrer having to interfere. After 40 minutes, Justino Kismi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tello AFC and the Yala players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Tello AFC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Justino Kismi hit a great ball. Mariano Caton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Sustrai in the 41st minute of play. In the 43rd match minute, Yala was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gwendal Puig to maneuver through the defense. Tello AFC's Diego Balendin got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half Yala were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Orlando Sustrai to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Yala's Hipolito Froila nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mariano Caton made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. The crowd rose to their feet as Yala's Orlando Sustrai slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mariano Caton. That made the score 0-3 after 74 minutes of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Norberto Erramu during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Norberto Erramu hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Nicasio Ezkerra struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Octavio Ferrer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tello AFC. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Yala eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
