The attack was good, but when Servando Ariste in the 3rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. 4 minutes into the game, Brett Fazey was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Esquadrão Lusitano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CON-E-CO the free kick. The supporters of CON-E-CO booed when Esquadrão Lusitano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brett Fazey didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 5th minute, Brett Fazey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Esquadrão Lusitano's goalkeeper Vítor Damas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Vítor Damas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Argider Lizundia in the 7th minute of the match. Eric Bergström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vítor Damas having to interfere. 18 minutes into the match, Esquadrão Lusitano's goal looked a bit too open when Servando Ariste came free, but Vítor Damas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, CON-E-CO's goal looked a bit too open when Cândido Machado came free, but Bibiano Barbosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frans Escajadillo got free with Vítor Damas in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 42nd minute, Zachariasz Bobrowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 45 minutes into the match, Servando Ariste had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vítor Damas. Esquadrão Lusitano's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Servando Ariste was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Servando Ariste stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Servando Ariste ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vítor Damas was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Esquadrão Lusitano's Vítor Damas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Servando Ariste in the 55th minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, Servando Ariste notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Esquadrão Lusitano's Vítor Damas. Vítor Damas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 66th match minute, CON-E-CO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Argider Lizundia to maneuver through the defense. CON-E-CO made a substitution. Tomás Ortzi replaced Frans Escajadillo. After a rather tough play, CON-E-CO's Argider Lizundia got a free kick in the 67th minute. 70 minutes into the game, Servando Ariste cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Vítor Damas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bibiano Barbosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cândido Machado, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. After 75 minutes, Argider Lizundia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CON-E-CO and the Esquadrão Lusitano players grew even worse after the yellow card. Argider Lizundia hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. When Filomeno Esiquio fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Esquadrão Lusitano's protests and gave Filomeno Esiquio a yellow card for diving instead. 83 minutes into the match, CON-E-CO's goalkeeper Bibiano Barbosa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luís Santana. An unexpectedly hard shot by Servando Ariste in the 86th minute of play forced Esquadrão Lusitano's goalkeeper Vítor Damas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. CON-E-CO walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
