Aureliano Gora in the 10thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Victoriano Bernaldo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a rather tough play, Betelgeux FC's Generoso Kepa got a free kick in the 11th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leopoldo Rosa in the 12th minute of play forced Betelgeux FC's goalkeeper Jorge Havier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 14 minutes had been played when some careless play by Betelgeux FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Claudio Cerritos was slow to take the kick. During this time Dep Colonia Avellaneda's players had a chance to rest. Dep Colonia Avellaneda's Claudio Cerritos was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jorge Havier in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 20th minute, Betelgeux FC's Aureliano Gora ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Victoriano Bernaldo. Victoriano Bernaldo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Jorge Havier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Darryl Buckner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Victoriano Bernaldo made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Silvio Luzaide sent off a good shot on target. Dep Colonia Avellaneda's Darryl Buckner got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 30 played minutes Dep Colonia Avellaneda got a freekick which was hit by Wei Li. Victoriano Bernaldo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvio Luzaide, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dep Colonia Avellaneda's Victoriano Bernaldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvio Luzaide in the 39th minute of play. After 45 minutes, Wei Li made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Betelgeux FC's Jorge Havier tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The crowd rose to their feet as Dep Colonia Avellaneda's Leopoldo Rosa slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jorge Havier. That made the score 1-3 after 72 minutes of play. Betelgeux FC made a substitution. Hipolito Goizeder replaced Generoso Kepa. Betelgeux FC's Raul Celino was substituted for Aureliano Gora. Jorge Havier made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Darryl Buckner sent off a good shot on target. If Arsenio Hustaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victoriano Bernaldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arsenio Hustaz in the 82nd minute of the match. In the 84th match minute, Dep Colonia Avellaneda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santo Libertad to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Betelgeux FC defense, Darryl Buckner kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jorge Havier. The Betelgeux FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jorge Havier should have stopped the shot. With an all-out effort, Dep Colonia Avellaneda's Jorge Havier threw himself towards the right post 89 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Santo Libertad, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 91 minutes, Florencio Carlomagno mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dep Colonia Avellaneda and the Betelgeux FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Betelgeux FC booed when Dep Colonia Avellaneda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florencio Carlomagno didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Dep Colonia Avellaneda's zone, Teobaldo Gonza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victoriano Bernaldo came out of the goal and Teobaldo Gonza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Victoriano Bernaldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raul Celino in the 95th minute of the match. Dep Colonia Avellaneda's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
