Roger Bratt had several of the Di Röe's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 37 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-3 score and a disappointed George Kristiansson as he didn't even see the shot coming. A collision led to Di Röe getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Jens Åkerman hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sten Melberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Quirze Acha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sten Melberg in the 52nd minute of play. Di Röe's George Kristiansson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ali Nejat Karasu in the 54th minute of play. Team Figo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. The Di Röe supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Di Röe would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
