An unexpectedly hard shot by Niklas Edström in the 21st minute of play forced Blåvitt's goalkeeper Mike Cassar Torreggiani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mårten Bivall could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Mike Cassar Torreggiani made a huge save. In the 26th minute Gösta Lundberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Quirze Acha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Blåvitt booed when Team Figo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Allan Burman didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gösta Lundberg to make the kick off.
