The referee ignored Sonstorps Fotboll's protests and gave Jonas Rosendahl a yellow card for diving instead. After recieving a nice pass, Blåvitt's Stefan Eriksson tried to score from far away in the 29th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Blåvitt's Mike Cassar Torreggiani proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Blåvitt from getting a goal against them. In the 35th minute of the match, Rune Tönnberg tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Mike Cassar Torreggiani saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Helge Åström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mike Cassar Torreggiani having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rune Tönnberg in the 44th minute of play forced Blåvitt's goalkeeper Mike Cassar Torreggiani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 47 minutes, Stefan Eriksson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Blåvitt's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stefan Eriksson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Törnblom to make the kick off. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Blåvitt had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
