After a rather tough play, Clube do Remo MZ's Hortêncio de Lima got a free kick in the 12th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Juoksengi's goal looked a bit too open when Edinho Vasconcelos came free, but Tommy Melin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 21 played minutes Clube do Remo MZ got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Reis. Frederico Smith made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Svante Bröms sent off a good shot on target. When the match clock showed 28 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Ismael Mandrak sped through Juoksengi's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tommy Melin. Toninho de Mendonça received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Tommy Melin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Clube do Remo MZ's Frederico Smith proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Clube do Remo MZ from getting a goal against them. Tommy Melin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ismael Mandrak in the 36th minute of play. Clube do Remo MZ's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Walmyr Dionísio in the 37th minute. In the 38th minute, Clube do Remo MZ's Ismael Mandrak fired away a free kick that almost went in the goal. Tommy Melin was prepared for the shot, but didn't have to make a play as the shot flew over the goal. Erland Giöck hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Tommy Melin came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Clube do Remo MZ's Edinho Vasconcelos. But to his dismay, Edinho Vasconcelos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Tommy Melin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ismael Mandrak, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute.

Juoksengi made a substitution. Paul Bock replaced Niclas Petersson. Tommy Melin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edinho Vasconcelos in the 52nd minute of play. 54 minutes into the match, Clube do Remo MZ's Ismael Mandrak sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tommy Melin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Clube do Remo MZ booed when Juoksengi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Jonasson didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, Clube do Remo MZ's Tommy Melin threw himself towards the right post 71 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Edinho Vasconcelos, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Walmyr Dionísio kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Frederico Smith showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kjell Persson in the 77th minute of the match. Edinho Vasconcelos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Melin having to interfere. Tommy Melin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edinho Vasconcelos in the 81st minute of play. A collision led to Clube do Remo MZ getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. In the 95th match minute, Juoksengi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kjell Persson to maneuver through the defense. The Clube do Remo MZ players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
