In the 6th minute Edinho Vasconcelos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Umberto de Salles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Scarlet Speedster booed when Clube do Remo MZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo Reis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leonardo Pombal charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leonardo Pombal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Leonardo Pombal hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustavo Reis got free with Umberto de Salles in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Walmyr Dionísio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Clube do Remo MZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Walmyr Dionísio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Umberto de Salles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Scarlet Speedster getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Leonardo Pombal hit a great ball. Umberto de Salles came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Clube do Remo MZ's Edinho Vasconcelos. But to his dismay, Edinho Vasconcelos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Frederico Smith took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cafu Toledo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cafu Toledo took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Frederico Smith. Frederico Smith dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The wind increased when Narciso Bueno made the kick off in the second half. Umberto de Salles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vivaldo Soeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. 53 minutes into the match, Scarlet Speedster's goal looked a bit too open when Vivaldo Soeiro came free, but Umberto de Salles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vivaldo Soeiro took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Umberto de Salles. Umberto de Salles dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. In the 59th minute Narciso Bueno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frederico Smith saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gernando Maciel kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Frederico Smith made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Narciso Bueno sent off a good shot on target. The goalkeeper, Frederico Smith, was totally fooled by Scarlet Speedster's Kauan Valle, who 66 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cafu Toledo in the 68th minute of play forced Clube do Remo MZ's goalkeeper Frederico Smith to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 69 played minutes Clube do Remo MZ got a freekick which was hit by Walmyr Dionísio. A collision led to Clube do Remo MZ getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Walmyr Dionísio hit a great ball. In the 72nd minute of the match Kauan Valle shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Frederico Smith showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 74 minutes, Frederico Smith successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 77th minute, Ismael Mandrak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Clube do Remo MZ made a substitution. Ricardinho Simão replaced Elivélton Valladares. In the 83rd match minute, Clube do Remo MZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ismael Mandrak to maneuver through the defense. Frederico Smith showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Narciso Bueno in the 89th minute of the match. Vivaldo Soeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edinho Vasconcelos in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Umberto de Salles saved Scarlet Speedster from getting behind. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
