Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Zigmantas Gimbutas took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 4thth minute of the game Zigmantas Gimbutas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jenipapo SC's David Seaman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Arcan Siralp got a throw-in 8 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Zé Carlos Monteiro. 11 minutes into the game, Jenipapo SC's Aníbal Alagoano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Antonio Adán made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Antonio Adán showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vinicio Junior in the 18th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, Zigmantas Gimbutas dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of David Seaman, 1-1. In the 25th minute of the match Jenipapo SC got a corner. SC Braga's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Arsenio Gipuzkoa ran over to the corner to take the kick. A throw-in in the 27th minute of the game was made by Arcan Siralp with Raphael Cunha as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Antonio Adán made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurício Arósio in the 28th minute of play. Zigmantas Gimbutas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 37th minute Vinicio Junior shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Adán saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alberto Malheiro made in the 38th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Jenipapo SC's Maurício Arósio. In the 39th minute Vinicio Junior shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Adán saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vinicio Junior took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Antonio Adán. Antonio Adán dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. After a rather tough play, SC Braga's Zigmantas Gimbutas got a free kick in the 45th minute. 46 minutes into the match, SC Braga's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Carlos Monteiro came free, but Antonio Adán reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 53rd minute, Zigmantas Gimbutas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Antonio Adán made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raphael Cunha in the 55th minute of play. In the 59th minute Zigmantas Gimbutas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Seaman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SC Braga made a substitution. Stig-Åke Mattsson replaced Zigmantas Gimbutas. SC Braga's Antonio Cieri was substituted for Quintino Carvalhais. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raphael Cunha in the 71st minute of play forced SC Braga's goalkeeper Antonio Adán to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SC Braga were awarded a corner in the 74th minute after Jenipapo SC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Charl De Metser took the corner. After 79 minutes, Arsenio Gipuzkoa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jenipapo SC and the SC Braga players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aníbal Alagoano in the 82nd minute of play forced SC Braga's goalkeeper Antonio Adán to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 91 minutes into the match, SC Braga's goalkeeper Antonio Adán had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aníbal Alagoano. Antonio Cieri struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. David Seaman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Braga. David Seaman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Cieri in the 93rd minute of play. In the 95th minute of the match SC Braga got a corner. Jenipapo SC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Charl De Metser ran over to the corner to take the kick. Antonio Cieri was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Jenipapo SC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
