Capibaribe Stars's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberigo Prosperi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Reynaldo Cearense kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Alberigo Prosperi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Capibaribe Stars's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberigo Prosperi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Augusto Corrêa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Denislav Mesalski kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. In the 44th match minute, E.C Mont Castello - FDFDF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olly Johnson to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberigo Prosperi in the 44th minute of play forced E.C Mont Castello - FDFDF's goalkeeper Augusto Corrêa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Capibaribe Stars had won after a very even match.
