João Adolfo Lago took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Curt Montes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The goal made the score 2-1. 48 minutes into the match, MarquinhosEC's goalkeeper Zézinho Simões had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marino Montrelle. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

53 minutes into the game, Pó de DiaManTe FMZ 4ÉVER's Augusto Consalvi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zézinho Simões made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Curt Montes took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised João Adolfo Lago. João Adolfo Lago dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. In the 61st minute Alessandro do Valle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Adolfo Lago saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 64thth minute of the game Augusto Consalvi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MarquinhosEC's Zézinho Simões was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pó de DiaManTe FMZ 4ÉVER's João Adolfo Lago played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Curt Montes in the 67th minute of play. Zézinho Simões showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Consalvi, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. The MarquinhosEC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing MarquinhosEC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
