Through an outstanding action, after 10 minutes, Zhuang Shi Ting successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The supporters of Divina Comédia FC booed when Jenipapo SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aníbal Alagoano didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Eliézer Cavalcante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Seaman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guaberto Bras, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zhuang Shi Ting showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raphael Cunha, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 28th minute Hugo Sanchez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Seaman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40th minute Ian Moraes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Seaman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jenipapo SC's attentive Zé Carlos Monteiro managed to snatch the ball when Eliézer Cavalcante made a throw-in in the 44th minute of the game. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Guaberto Bras stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jenipapo SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 61st minute, Divina Comédia FC's Ian Moraes dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. In the 65th minute, Raphael Cunha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jenipapo SC's David Seaman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliézer Cavalcante in the 74th minute of play. David Seaman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliézer Cavalcante in the 74th minute of the match. After 91 played minutes Jenipapo SC got a freekick which was hit by Aníbal Alagoano. In the 94th match minute, Jenipapo SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vinicio Junior to maneuver through the defense. After 95 minutes, Ian Moraes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Divina Comédia FC and the Jenipapo SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The Divina Comédia FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Jenipapo SC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
