Alberigo Prosperi started the match with the kick off. After 2 played minutes Marzagão got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Toledo. Thanks to some nice moves Nike 武磊 could shoot a difficult shot in the 6th minute, which Mieszko Karanowski however easily saved by the left post. In the 10th minute Alberigo Prosperi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mieszko Karanowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mieszko Karanowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberigo Prosperi in the 12th minute of play. In the 13th minute of the match Capibaribe Stars got a corner. Marzagão's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Wilton Fontes ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Capibaribe Stars's corner Wilton Fontes fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Mieszko Karanowski quite easily take care of the ball. Thomás Toscano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oliviero Vuelta in the 17th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Marzagão's Umberto Antunes got a free kick in the 26th minute. In the 28th minute Alberigo Prosperi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mieszko Karanowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thomás Toscano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oliviero Vuelta in the 33rd minute of play. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Marzagão's goalkeeper Mieszko Karanowski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thomás Toscano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dario Gentili, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. A collision led to Marzagão getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Umberto Antunes hit a great ball. 44 minutes into the match, Marzagão's goal looked a bit too open when Alberigo Prosperi came free, but Mieszko Karanowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Wilton Fontes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Mieszko Karanowski quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Alberigo Prosperi struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Mieszko Karanowski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Capibaribe Stars. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dario Gentili to strike the kick off in the second half. Alberigo Prosperi struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Mieszko Karanowski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Capibaribe Stars. In the 61st minute Jarl Rossebø shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mieszko Karanowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Capibaribe Stars's Mohamed Basso was substituted for Alberigo Prosperi. Capibaribe Stars's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Wilton Fontes in the 64th minute. Marzagão made a substitution. Murillo do Valle replaced Dario Gentili. In the 71st minute of the game Umberto Antunes made a throw-in which Pedro Toledo played forward. Mohamed Basso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mieszko Karanowski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Marzagão's Mieszko Karanowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mohamed Basso in the 75th minute of play. 84 minutes into the game, Capibaribe Stars's Mohamed Basso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mieszko Karanowski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Mohamed Basso took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mieszko Karanowski. Mieszko Karanowski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mohamed Basso in the 89th minute of play forced Marzagão's goalkeeper Mieszko Karanowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mieszko Karanowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mohamed Basso in the 91st minute of the match. Capibaribe Stars's defense didn't have a chance, in the 95th minute, when Murillo do Valle scored to the left of an out of position Thomás Toscano, making the score, 4-1. Capibaribe Stars's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
