In the 6th minute Pogoń Stawiszyn were awarded a corner. Radoslaw Trojanowski went to the cornerflag to take it. Paco Dean showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ryszard Pilipiec in the 7th minute of the match. When Radoslaw Trojanowski came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Pogoń Stawiszyn fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Radoslaw Trojanowski couldn't finish the play. Radoslaw Trojanowski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 19 minutes into the match, MKS Legion Częstochowa's goal looked a bit too open when Ryszard Pilipiec came free, but Paco Dean reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute Ryszard Pilipiec shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paco Dean saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Radoslaw Trojanowski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 23rd minute Witold Gibowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paco Dean saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Pogoń Stawiszyn's Julian Kossakowski got a free kick in the 25th minute. They were losing 0-1.

Gilbert Podolski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Czeslaw Banan in the 51st minute of play. A hard shot 55 in the game by Kazimierz Dylla from a close distance when the talented Paco Dean managed to make a qualified save. MKS Legion Częstochowa's players were relieved. Pogoń Stawiszyn's Gilbert Podolski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Czeslaw Banan in the 57th minute of play. After 58 played minutes MKS Legion Częstochowa got a freekick which was hit by Kajetan Pietrowiak. Paco Dean showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ryszard Pilipiec, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Igor Zajac hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. MKS Legion Częstochowa made a substitution. Napoleon Chlebek replaced Iwan Falk. Valter Festas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilbert Podolski having to interfere. Jacek Kolbe charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jacek Kolbe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jacek Kolbe hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Valter Festas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Pogoń Stawiszyn had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
