The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Zbigniew Modrzewski the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of ZKS Batalion Bielsko protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Zbigniew Modrzewski had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 17th minute, one of ZKS Batalion Bielsko:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for ZKS Batalion Bielsko. 22 minutes into the game, Teofil Ludwa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Tadeusz Sliwinski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Wit Rydzewski scored 5-1 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Antoni Kosel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Konrad Tobaczewski kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tadeusz Sliwinski. That made the score 6-1 in the 32 minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 7-1.

The supporters of Grabo POGOŃ MKS Szczecin booed when ZKS Batalion Bielsko was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position.
