The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jaroslaw Bazan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Radoslaw Trojanowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. In the 6th minute Radoslaw Trojanowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaroslaw Bazan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It was Boruc Czerwinski who took care of the corner kick. 30 minutes into the match, Oranjes Zamość's goal looked a bit too open when Ryszard Pilipiec came free, but Jaroslaw Bazan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute Boguslaw Olejniczak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilbert Podolski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Oranjes Zamość's Gilbert Podolski threw himself towards the right post 44 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Matias Roscams, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The corner led to Oranjes Zamość's Gustaw Podowski getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bogdan Mojsiewicz made a kick off. Jaroslaw Bazan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Radoslaw Trojanowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Gilbert Podolski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bogdan Mojsiewicz in the 62nd minute of the match. Gilbert Podolski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Matias Roscams went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Jaroslaw Bazan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Radoslaw Trojanowski in the 75th minute of play. After 75 played minutes Pogoń Stawiszyn got a freekick which was hit by Mieszko Bartelak. After 78 minutes, Boguslaw Olejniczak made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Pogoń Stawiszyn's Gilbert Podolski tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Jaroslaw Bazan was a little too slow when Radoslaw Trojanowski got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 85th minute. The score was now 2-1. A collision led to Pogoń Stawiszyn getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Julian Kossakowski hit a great ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Oranjes Zamość fans cheered their team off the field, for while Pogoń Stawiszyn had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
