An unexpectedly hard shot by Nevada Lopez de Toro in the 45th minute of play forced Leones FC's goalkeeper Gualterio Inocente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute Erik Véber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gualterio Inocente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The crowd rose to their feet as Vodka Stars 1949's Curcio Alonso slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gualterio Inocente. That made the score 0-16 after 88 minutes of play. 95 minutes into the game, Lucas Montaña cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-18. Gualterio Inocente was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Vodka Stars 1949's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
