With an all-out effort, Vejbystrand's Anton Östlund threw himself towards the right post 11 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bengt-Arne Smed, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jens Käcker during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Vejbystrand's Lars Molander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Billy Brogren in the 26th minute of play. If Torgny Ekström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 31st minute Bengt-Arne Smed shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anton Östlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Magne Linqvist to make the kick off. Vejbystrand's supporters rose to their feet, but Bengt-Arne Smed was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anton Östlund breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lars Molander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Billy Brogren in the 62nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Vejbystrand's Tobias Tholsson got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Lars Molander made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Torgny Ekström sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Vejbystrand booed when Bondeträsk FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Billy Brogren didn't get a good kick on the ball.
