Frank Disastro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bengt Berg in the 3rd minute of the match. Frank Disastro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jarl Kalfhage, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Vejbystrand booed when Skyfall was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Achille Pozzoli didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th minute of the match, Felix Stenquist tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Frank Disastro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The crowd rose to their feet as Vejbystrand's Jarl Kalfhage slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Frank Disastro. That made the score 1-0 after 22 minutes of play. Frank Disastro came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Vejbystrand's Bengt Berg. But to his dismay, Bengt Berg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 30 minutes into the match, Skyfall's goal looked a bit too open when Jarl Kalfhage came free, but Frank Disastro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Vejbystrand getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Gösta Hedkvist hit a great ball. Frank Disastro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roy Emander in the 32nd minute. Skyfall's Frank Disastro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Skyfall from getting a goal against them. Emilio Di Nucci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arne Karlsson having to interfere. Frank Disastro made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Jarl Kalfhage sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice moves Roy Emander could shoot a difficult shot in the 45th minute, which Frank Disastro however easily saved by the left post. After 47 played minutes Skyfall got a freekick which was hit by Fortunato Scatena. Stig-Åke Petersson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emilio Di Nucci to make the kick off. Achille Pozzoli received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Arne Karlsson came out and tried to block the shot, but Achille Pozzoli slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 53rd minute. Frank Disastro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jarl Kalfhage, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Skyfall's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jarl Kalfhage was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. If Emilio Di Nucci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Alvise Sessa fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Skyfall's protests and gave Alvise Sessa a yellow card for diving instead. After 74 played minutes Skyfall got a freekick which was hit by Alvise Sessa. In the 79th minute, Jarl Kalfhage made a precise shot to the right of Frank Disastro. Skyfall's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. After a defensive mix-up in Skyfall's zone, Felix Stenquist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frank Disastro came out of the goal and Felix Stenquist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 88th minute Stig-Åke Petersson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frank Disastro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bengt Berg during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Skyfall booed when Vejbystrand was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bengt Berg didn't get a good kick on the ball. There was no doubt that Vejbystrand were the better team. Vejbystrand's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
