With a little luck, -BZF- Petrolul Berca's Lino Mazza got control of the ball when Leonard Aanuţei tried to sneak it across the goal line. FC Buzău's Gheorghe Baldovin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albertinho Alagoano in the 10th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Avram Elenescu got free with Lino Mazza in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 17 minutes into the match, FC Buzău's goal looked a bit too open when Eusebiu Tunar came free, but Gheorghe Baldovin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Charalambos Vokolos took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gheorghe Baldovin. Gheorghe Baldovin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 23rd minute Traian Balaban shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lino Mazza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes into the game, -BZF- Petrolul Berca's Flavio Valines nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gheorghe Baldovin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. -BZF- Petrolul Berca's Lino Mazza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Traian Balaban in the 29th minute of play. Gheorghe Baldovin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albertinho Alagoano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emil Strugure hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. 39 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Buzău's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Fabian Iago was slow to take the kick. During this time -BZF- Petrolul Berca's players had a chance to rest. -BZF- Petrolul Berca's Charalambos Vokolos was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gheorghe Baldovin in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Zhang Liang Liang charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zhang Liang Liang the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, -BZF- Petrolul Berca's Zhang Liang Liang got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Gheorghe Baldovin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charalambos Vokolos in the 45th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leonard Aanuţei to strike the kick off in the second half. Lino Mazza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonard Aanuţei in the 51st minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, FC Buzău's goal looked a bit too open when Albertinho Alagoano came free, but Gheorghe Baldovin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gheorghe Baldovin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. -BZF- Petrolul Berca's Shi Jing Feng was substituted for Eusebiu Tunar. After 68 played minutes -BZF- Petrolul Berca got a freekick which was hit by Charalambos Vokolos. Lino Mazza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Avram Elenescu in the 69th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute Emil Strugure shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lino Mazza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Shi Jing Feng had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of -BZF- Petrolul Berca booed when FC Buzău was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucian Dejeu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The -BZF- Petrolul Berca supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing -BZF- Petrolul Berca would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
