The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Emil Strugure received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Silviu Lung tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Niculae Podgoreanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 19 minutes into the match, FC Buzău's goal looked a bit too open when Niculae Podgoreanu came free, but Gheorghe Baldovin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gheorghe Baldovin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niculae Podgoreanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 24 minutes -BZF- Viper eSports's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Leonard Aanuţei who took care of the corner kick. After some careless play in the -BZF- Viper eSports defense, Traian Balaban kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Silviu Lung. The -BZF- Viper eSports fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Silviu Lung should have stopped the shot. FC Buzău's Avram Elenescu got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, -BZF- Viper eSports's Nechifor Mironescu got a free kick in the 30th minute. After a defensive mix-up in -BZF- Viper eSports's zone, Emil Strugure stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silviu Lung came out of the goal and Emil Strugure tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. -BZF- Viper eSports's Silviu Lung played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Traian Balaban in the 34th minute of play. FC Buzău were awarded a corner in the 36th minute after -BZF- Viper eSports's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Leonard Aanuţei took the corner. In the 36th match minute, -BZF- Viper eSports was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Costin Neacșu to maneuver through the defense. Silviu Lung showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Avram Elenescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. FC Buzău's Gheorghe Baldovin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manole Pâslaru in the 46th minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Manole Pâslaru stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Costin Neacșu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gheorghe Baldovin having to interfere. Silviu Lung showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Avram Elenescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. If Avram Elenescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to -BZF- Viper eSports getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Bogdan Iorga hit a great ball. After 75 played minutes FC Buzău got a freekick which was hit by Lucian Dejeu. FC Buzău's Gheorghe Baldovin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Costin Neacșu in the 76th minute of play. Traian Balaban sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 85th match minute, -BZF- Viper eSports was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nistor Mereuță to maneuver through the defense. Leonard Aanuţei recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind -BZF- Viper eSports's goalkeeper Silviu Lung, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched FC Buzău eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
