Ana Ţugui could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Octav Hortopan made a huge save. In the 7th match minute, -BZF- Fc Gheraseni was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filip Urseanu to maneuver through the defense. Octav Hortopan acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 8th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Iulian Strungă. In the 12th match minute, -BZF- Valea Buzăului was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iancu Rebec to maneuver through the defense. Octav Hortopan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Flávio Ţugui in the 17th minute. Fabian Verzea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Manole Tăcutu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alexandru Stelian kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Manole Tăcutu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabian Verzea, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. After 41 minutes of play, -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Ana Ţugui made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Octav Hortopan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Iancu Rebec hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aurelian Acalinei was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of -BZF- Fc Gheraseni booed when -BZF- Valea Buzăului was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sabin Cândroveanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 57th minute Ana Ţugui shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octav Hortopan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manole Tăcutu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgil Nedelcea in the 60th minute of play. Virgil Nedelcea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Manole Tăcutu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Virgil Nedelcea took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Manole Tăcutu. Manole Tăcutu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ana Ţugui in the 84th minute of play forced -BZF- Fc Gheraseni's goalkeeper Octav Hortopan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Filip Urseanu charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Filip Urseanu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of -BZF- Valea Buzăului booed when -BZF- Fc Gheraseni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filip Urseanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 94 minutes -BZF- Valea Buzăului's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alexandru Stelian who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on -BZF- Fc Gheraseni's corner Alexandru Stelian fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Manole Tăcutu quite easily take care of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Iancu Rebec during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 95th minute, Iancu Rebec hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Despite being the better team, -BZF- Fc Gheraseni failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
