Antônio Carlos Cavalcante showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseu Alagoano, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nelsinho Marinho to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, 卡納里尼奧 FC's Célio Albuquerque got a free kick in the 51st minute. In the 56th match minute, 卡納里尼奧 FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amílton Marinho to maneuver through the defense. After 69 minutes, Christiano Palmeira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palestra do Interior and the 卡納里尼奧 FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eliseu Alagoano in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Antônio Carlos Cavalcante prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The throw-in from Dinei Brito in the 86th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by 卡納里尼奧 FC's Severino da Cunha. Palestra do Interior's Antônio Carlos Cavalcante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseu Alagoano in the 91st minute of play. In the 95th minute Eliseu Alagoano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antônio Carlos Cavalcante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
