After a rather tough play, Pesqueira City's Luiz-Henrique Pesqueira got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 14th match minute, Monumento Sports was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gernando Quintal to maneuver through the defense. After 15 played minutes, Pesqueira City's Válbson Medeiros shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Moisés Antunes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pesqueira City reached it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joel Lopes in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Enéas Borges prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Monumento Sports booed when Pesqueira City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bebeto Mendes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 27 played minutes Pesqueira City got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Travassos. Enéas Borges showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Lopes in the 28th minute of the match. Enéas Borges made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gernando Quintal in the 34th minute of play. When Luizão Pesqueira fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pesqueira City's protests and gave Luizão Pesqueira a yellow card for diving instead. After some careless play in the Monumento Sports defense, Ronaldo Guimarães kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Moisés Antunes. The Monumento Sports fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Moisés Antunes should have stopped the shot. The throw-in from Adrianinho Carneiro in the 43rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Monumento Sports's Diego Ramos. 45 minutes into the game, Ronaldo Guimarães recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Moisés Antunes. Ronaldo Guimarães showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Lopes made a kick off. Monumento Sports's Moisés Antunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldo Guimarães in the 52nd minute of play. Monumento Sports's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mathias Seco in the 56th minute. Moisés Antunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldo Guimarães in the 59th minute of the match. The supporters of Pesqueira City booed when Monumento Sports was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mathias Seco didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 62 played minutes Pesqueira City got a freekick which was hit by Luizinho Pesqueira. 64 minutes into the match, Pesqueira City's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Lopes came free, but Enéas Borges reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Monumento Sports fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. Enéas Borges took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Lopes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A nice corner shot did that Mathias Seco got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Enéas Borges quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 86 minutes, Gabriel Travassos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pesqueira City and the Monumento Sports players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 86th match minute, Pesqueira City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Travassos to maneuver through the defense.
