Glauco Paranaense started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, CE LAJEADENSE RS's Luís Gustavo Teles got a free kick in the 3rd minute. In the 5th minute, Leonel Vasconcelos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lauro Linhares was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The supporters of CE LAJEADENSE RS booed when Granadero10 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonel Vasconcelos didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, CE LAJEADENSE RS's Marcinho das Neves got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 14th match minute, Granadero10 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Doni Koehler to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Granadero10's Tostão Melo got a free kick in the 17th minute. Sydney Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliézer Ramos in the 18th minute of play. Lauro Linhares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonel Vasconcelos, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 25thth minute of the game Eliézer Ramos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Granadero10's Sydney Barros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Francisco Netto fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Granadero10's protests and gave Francisco Netto a yellow card for diving instead. After 31 played minutes Granadero10 got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Netto. CE LAJEADENSE RS's Oséas Miranda shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 32nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Sydney Barros but with some difficulty. Lauro Linhares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgílio Seco in the 34th minute of the match. With a little luck, Granadero10's Sydney Barros got control of the ball when Glauco Paranaense tried to sneak it across the goal line. CE LAJEADENSE RS's Lauro Linhares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgílio Seco in the 41st minute of play. Doni Koehler hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Granadero10's Sydney Barros got control of the ball when Glauco Paranaense tried to sneak it across the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Virgílio Seco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, CE LAJEADENSE RS's Luís de Lara sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sydney Barros narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With 59 minutes on the clock, Tostão Melo commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Granadero10 fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 58th minute. Penalty! In the 61st minute there was a penalty for CE LAJEADENSE RS. Caio Ramos stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Sydney Barros. 1-1. If Caio Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Glauco Paranaense took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sydney Barros. Sydney Barros dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Sydney Barros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Glauco Paranaense, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. The supporters of CE LAJEADENSE RS booed when Granadero10 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Paulo Paulista didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oséas Miranda's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sydney Barros read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. If Eliézer Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Glauco Paranaense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cléber de Souza charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cléber de Souza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 94 played minutes CE LAJEADENSE RS got a freekick which was hit by Cléber de Souza. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. CE LAJEADENSE RS had won after a very even match.
