Cazimir Angelescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Olly Morgan's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Deportivo Popolizio FBC's Torbjørn Trondsen got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Torbjørn Trondsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 35 minutes into the game, Laurențiu Pora cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Hermann Hesse was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cazimir Angelescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olly Morgan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Torbjørn Trondsen took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cazimir Angelescu. Cazimir Angelescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Niklas Hägglund kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. In the 47th minute, Torbjørn Trondsen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deportivo Popolizio FBC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.
