XV de Piracicaba's Nelsinho Paranaense got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Samuel Andrade showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leopoldo Velasco, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. A collision led to Samurai Champions FC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Severino Siqueira hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, XV de Piracicaba's Tadeu de Amorim got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Samurai Champions FC's Kiko Antunes shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 44th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Samuel Andrade but with some difficulty. Samuel Andrade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leopoldo Velasco in the 45th minute of the match.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Haruna Hassan got free with Alexsandro Netto in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alexsandro Netto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nelsinho Paranaense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. XV de Piracicaba were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
