The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 16 played minutes, Cremonese FC's Felipe Branco shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Valdemar Quadros came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cremonese FC reached it. Cícero Veiga kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. If Afiz Cho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cremonese FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Felipe Branco in the 38th minute. Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 41st minute, when Luizinho Arce scored to the left of an out of position Valdemar Quadros, making the score, 2-0. When Wágner Fox came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wágner Fox couldn't finish the play. Kong Gang Zhan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristiano de Moraes, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Joaquim de Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Wágner Fox put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Kong Gang Zhan. Valdemar Quadros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe Lara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luizinho Arce in the 61st minute of play forced Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s goalkeeper Valdemar Quadros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Afiz Cho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdemar Quadros having to interfere. In the 72nd minute Afiz Cho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdemar Quadros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 73 minutes into the game, Felipe Branco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cremonese FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- the free kick. In the 74th minute, Felipe Branco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristiano de Moraes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Kong Gang Zhan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kong Gang Zhan was out of position in the 77 minute of play, and Joaquim de Queirós capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Joaquim de Queirós really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. Kong Gang Zhan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wágner Fox in the 82nd minute. Marcus Soares kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Valdemar Quadros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dida Tróia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 95th minute Cremonese FC were awarded a corner. Felipe Branco went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Felipe Branco almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s Valdemar Quadros did a great save. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
